Sokil Arts Eco Retreat
October 12, 2024

Join us as we celebrate our commitment to each other, celebrate our community and share a weekend of music and merriment in the beautiful Otways.
RSVP

Please RSVP by May 20

We’re in love and we want to celebrate with you. We don’t plan on signing any paperwork but we are planning some formalities. We are serious about each other and the lives we are building with each other, our friends and family.

We also take having a good time seriously, so we found a beautiful venue set in the Otways, with accommodation so that we can celebrate late into the night.

We’ll have the ceremony and party on the afternoon and evening of Saturday 12 October. We’ll be setting up from Friday 11th and you’re more than welcome to join us for a low key dinner. You’re also invited to stay around for a recovery BBQ and a swim on Sunday.

The Vibe

Imagine a cross between a music festival and a wedding. It will be a bit DIY so like all good things, we’re going to have to create it together. We’ll be thrilled just to see you there, but if you’ve got something you would like to contribute to the vibe - such as a couple of hours to help us with set up or pack up, a DJ set, a dessert, some pretty objects that will help us transform the space to be less of a scout camp and more of a party, we will be extremely grateful. But if all you’ve got is a Saturday to spend with us in the Otways, that’s fantastic too!

The Accommodation

There are cabins on site which are able to accommodate about 80 people in 8 person dorms, however our invite list is longer than that. There is plenty of room for camping and we are going to need some people to camp in order to accommodate everyone. There are shared shower and toilet blocks, running water, kitchen facilities and BBQs. Please indicate your preference for accommodation in the RSVP form and we will do our best to accommodate everyone. If you’d rather stay off-site, the Winchelsea Motel is a 20 minute drive away and has rooms from $120 per night.

Q&A

Absolutely. But remember that we’ll be in the bush with a number hazards around so families will need to keep an eye on them. Private accommodation on site is limited. Please let us know when you RSVP if you are planning on bringing children and we will do our best to accomodate. Feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss.

There isn’t one. But we do want you to feel fun and hot so dress up as much as you want. If you are planning to stay Friday night, remember you will probably be getting ready in a communal bathroom block so plan outfits and makeup accordingly.

We will organise car pooling and other transport as required. When you RSVP there will be some questions about this so just let us know that you need help getting there. On the flip side, if there will be space in your car please let us know so we can arrange to fill it.

Like a lot of couples these days, we already have most of the stuff we need. But we are dreaming of a future where we might be able to make our living arrangements more permanent. If you would like to chip in there will be a wishing well at the venue and details for bank transfers.

By clicking here and answering a few questions. Easy.
